Pairbar: coming soon

Apple silicon · macOS 26+

Pre-order: Pairbar for macOS ships soon. Your licence key is emailed now; the download link is emailed the moment 1.0 is released.

Until then you can pre-order the $129 lifetime Founding licence (first 200 buyers); yearly and monthly start at launch. Full refund any time before release, and 14 days after.

Already bought? Nothing to do: we’ll email you the download the day 1.0 is out, to the address you bought with. Your licence key is in your receipt.

One email at launch, nothing else.

Opens without warnings

Pairbar is signed with a Developer ID and notarized by Apple, so Gatekeeper opens it normally. If macOS says it can’t check Pairbar for malicious software, the copy didn’t come from here: delete it and download it again from this page. Updates are signed too, and Pairbar installs only updates signed with its own key.

Install in a minute

  1. 1

    Open the DMG

    Double-click the downloaded Pairbar-<version>.dmg.

  2. 2

    Drag Pairbar to Applications

Then open it from Applications or Spotlight.

  3. 3

    Allow Accessibility

System Settings → Privacy & Security → Accessibility → Pairbar. It uses it to place the Claude and Codex windows in one spot and to react to ⌥ and ⌘.

  4. 4

    Open Claude or Codex

The sidebar appears over the app's own. Your 7-day trial starts now, with everything on.

Updates

Pairbar checks for updates once a day and asks before installing. You can also choose Check for Updates… in its menu-bar menu. See what changed in the changelog.

Optional command-line tools

claude for forks, follow-ups, workflows and helper chats (plan limits only as a last resort); codex for forks, archive and follow-ups; gh for pull-request status. Pairbar finds them wherever you installed them.
