Refund policy
Version 2.1 · Last updated 1 October 2026
If Pairbar isn’t right for you, you get your money back.
If Pairbar isn't right for you, you get your money back. This page is the one place the refund policy is written down; everything else links here.
First payment: 14 days, no questions asked#
Ask within 14 days of your first payment for any plan (Monthly, Yearly or Lifetime) and we refund that payment in full. You don't need to give a reason. For a pre-order, the 14 days start when we email you the download (see below).
Pre-orders#
If you bought before Pairbar's first release (a pre-order; see the Terms of Sale):
- Before the release: ask at any time and we refund you in full. You don't need to give a reason.
- If the release slips: if version 1.0 isn't out within 60 days after the end of the expected window shown when you bought (if it only said "soon", 90 days after your purchase), we'll email you to offer a refund. You can also keep your pre-order.
- After the release: the usual 14 days, counted from the day we email you the download.
Renewals: 7 days#
Forgot to cancel? Ask within 7 days of a renewal charge and, if you haven't used Pairbar since it renewed, we refund that renewal in full and cancel the subscription so it doesn't renew again.
How to ask#
Either:
- email support@pairbar.com with the email address you bought with, or the order number from your receipt; or
- reply to your Lemon Squeezy receipt, or use Lemon Squeezy's My Orders page to contact the seller.
Please ask us before disputing the charge with your bank: a refund is faster for you, and a chargeback costs a small seller a fee on top of the refund.
What happens next#
- Pairbar is sold by Lemon Squeezy, our merchant of record, so refunds are paid by them, back to the card or account you paid with. That usually takes 5–10 business days, depending on your bank.
- Taxes charged at checkout are refunded with the price.
- A refund ends the licence it paid for: the licence key is disabled, and Pairbar locks after a short grace period (currently 14 days). Your settings and workflows stay on your Mac.
Cancelling isn't refunding#
Cancelling a subscription stops future renewals; you keep access until the end of the period you've paid for. It doesn't refund the current period by itself: for that, ask as above within the windows on this page.
Outside these windows#
Write to us anyway. If something went wrong on our side (for example Pairbar stopped working for you soon after you paid and we couldn't fix it), we'll look at it case by case.
Your legal rights#
Nothing here limits the rights you have under consumer law where you live. In the EU and UK you normally have a 14-day right to withdraw from an online purchase. For digital content that's delivered straight away, that right can end once delivery starts, if you agreed to that at checkout. Our 14-day refund on a first payment applies either way, so you don't lose anything by agreeing.
